Have you seen the moving picture " In Brugge"?
Very fast moving and intriguing in a Flemish way and it has a very very poignant end that I wont mention just in case you haven't seen and are now inspired to because you now know someone whom has resided in Brugge a little while. They all die tragically in the end.
I thought to liven up the Brugge reputation in the cinema world might help with tourism so I have made a couple of flemishettes that will form part of the body of work I submit for next years Biennale in Biennale, Venice.
Here are the first two "pieces"
Which do you think I should put in first. I think they work well as a duet.
Well enough of the glamourus world of moviestraat unt the zeitgeist etc, back to life in the Markt unt the Burg unt the concherthuisse.
Zid I mention the tallest building made from brickenstadel in Brugges...
The best and most really genuinestraat glockenspiel is inside. It plays "wake me up before you go go " on the 45 minutes of the hour every Sunday.
Old Brugge from the toppenmost brickstraden.

Back down unt the groundt is
A fountain.
Swiffzze al za vasser koming up from the canals like this.
I do like a brick building with red windows
A michaelangelo.
this was stolen twice from the church of the missing Madonna. Once by the French. Napoleon returned it. The second time it was the Germans on their way home from the war.
What is a church without a fresco
and a golden casket with a queen that lived fast and loved the anonymous Flemish master painter hard. At 25 whilst out hawking with her husband, Maximillian of Austria and no master painter, she fell from her horse.

Max took her dying and broken body home and helped her write her will before she went to church for the last time. Her painter lover remained a good friend to Max.
This is her church under my
Blue blue Belgian sky....
Tomorrow the kursttram along the north sea sea shore but only if it is raining.
Zandt from Brugge.
